The Okie Pokie

Today my little Leah turned into a Cowgirl and performed the "Okie Pokie" (get it-- "Okie" as in "from Oklahoma"). Her kindergarten class has been working hard practicing this song as well as a song about the life cycle of a butterfly (in which Miss Leah had a speaking part) to perform in front of the whole school in an assembly this morning. I was your typical over-excited parent on the front row with camera in hand, big smile on my face and waving excitedly at her from the bleachers. I love watching my kids get to do something special.
Cowgirl Leah before school this morning
Lucas patiently waiting and watching for his sisters. Notice the glimmer of snot under his nose. Just keeping it real.
On stage! Leah is the fifth from the left.
"You do the Okie Pokie and you swing your lasso 'round. That's what it's all about.
Hee-Haw!!"
Proud Mama.
